Transport for Scotland is an Executive agency delivering Scottish Ministers trunk road, rail and concessionary travel objectives through a £3billion investment plan to 2010 and beyond.

The Welsh Assembly Government works to secure the most effective transport system for Wales.

Its department of Enterprise, Innovation and Networks, led by Minister Andrew Davies, invests £500 million  in Wale's transport links.  It manages over 1,000 miles of trunk road, has responsibility for all Arriva Trains Wales services and is developing a strategy to enhance a sustainable, integrated network.
