Leading water management company ACO has launched a professional development programme designed to address training challenges in the construction industry.
The programme covers the planning, design, build, operation and future-proofing of the UK’s road network. The four key courses relevant to highway engineers are:
- Highways surface water management
- Effective surface water management
- Value engineering
- Quad channel design
ACO is currently going through the process of CPD accreditation for the training courses with CPD Standards.
The series of courses can be accessed in number of ways - online, in-company, or at the training facility at ACO UK headquarters in Shefford, Bedfordshire.
ACO has already delivered highways professional development to a number of companies and membership bodies.
Terry Wilkinson, highways application engineer at ACO, commented: 'ACO has already delivered highways professional development to a number of companies and membership bodies. By providing this knowledge and support in the form of a development programme, we hope that people will see the value we can bring in supporting those working in the highways sector.
'We offer the CPD courses in-company, as webinars and as full days at our dedicated ACO Academy. We can also deliver courses working alongside membership bodies etc. to meet their requirements. We have already delivered a highways specific ACO academy day with the CIHT in October.'
As part of the wider professional development offer, ACO also provides courses for engineers, contractors, architects, surveyors and landscape architects.
