New self-weighted safety barrier unveiled at Intertraffic

Border Barriers has unveiled a new self-weighted safety barrier at Intertraffic in Amsterdam.

The BBS Road Runner is specifically designed for quick deployment in freezing conditions, or when water isn’t readily available.

It has an interlocking base design which allows for quick installation and is able to create a temporary delineation system whilst preventing unwanted ease of movement.

The barrier is ergonomically designed, reducing wind resistance and is manufactured in the UK from 92% recycled material. It has a wide range of applications ranging from inner city areas, railways and street works to airports, pedestrian safety and car parks.

Managing director Philip Armstrong said: “Intertraffic is not only an ideal opportunity to launch new products, but also for us to catch up with existing customers and meet new clients to help understand their future safety requirements.”

The company also used the exhibition to showcase its Rhino water-fill crash tested safety barriers as well as a wide range of associated products.
