RSMA conference gets underway

Highways Reporters

Road Marking 2013, the annual conference of the Road Safety Markings Association (RSMA), gets underway in Nottingham today (Wednesday 13 November).

This year’s event is incorporating Safer Surfacing 2013, a seminar to include presentations and discussion on the issues facing the high friction industry.

And the first ever Highways Health and Safety event will be held today (13 November) as part of the conference.

With the advent of corporate legal responsibility and individual director liability, Health and Safety 2013 is a one-day event designed to support highway professionals in this critical area.

Keynote speakers for the event are Norman Lyons and Clare Forshaw from the Health and Safety Executive who will be delivering an exclusive overview of the HSE project looking at Highway Worker Health and Welfare.

Conference attendees include local authorities, road marking company owners and directors, white liners, engineering companies, consultants, international company representatives and Highways Agency staff.

The event is taking place at Eastwood Hall in Nottingham from 13 to 14 November. For further information visit
