Thurrock Council is looking for contractors to carry-out a £3.5m package of highways work in Essex.
The four-year framework deal is divided into the following lots:
Street Lighting Repairs worth £2m - repairs, installations and routine maintenance of illuminated street furniture including street lighting columns, subways, zebra crossings, illuminated billiards and signs and associated cable networks and supply pillars.
Electrical Testing of Street Furniture worth £240,000 - Conduct planned electrical and structural testing of illuminated street furniture including street lighting columns, subways, zebra crossings, illuminated billiards and signs and associated cable networks and supply pillars.
Barrier Repairs worth £360,000 - Repairs, re-tensioning and replacement of open box beam and Armco crash barriers including traffic management for high speed roads following road traffic incidents.
Highways Signs repairs and installation worth £200,000 - Supply and erection of new and removal of damaged highways signs on tubular and lattice posts, street names plates and finger posts to include traffic management for working on high speed roads.
Road Marking Maintenance worth £180,000 - Application and removal of road markings to 'A' 'B' roads and unclassified roads to include traffic management for working on high speed roads.
Bridge Repairs worth £180,000 - Repairs to various construction of bridges relating to damaged caused by road traffic incidents, general wear and tear, vandalism etc throughout the borough.
Traffic Control Systems Maintenance worth £200,000 - Maintain a variety of traffic control systems throughout the borough. Maintenance will be require 24/7 cover and emergency call-outs in the event of road traffic incidents.
