TRL (Transport Research Laboratory) will act as test partners for live trials at this year’s Seeing is Believing.
Plans are currently progressing to conduct trials in the luminosity of road markings and sign visibility, and for the first UK demonstration of INROADS active road studs in the TRL Trial Zone.
Seeing is Believing is being held at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground in Leicestershire from 19-20 November 2014. The event offers a unique opportunity to demonstrate your products and services outside on real road environments – urban, rural and motorway – with day, dusk and night-time conditions.
TRL is an internationally recognised centre of excellence providing world-class research, consultancy and testing across a wide range of transport issues.
As an exhibitor, you will get the chance to witness trials first-hand as well as being given the opportunity to prove the efficiency and effectiveness of your own products where appropriate.
In the exhibition hall you will also be able to experience MiniDigiSim – TRL’s portable car driving simulator.
MiniDigiSim uses three high resolution 32” screens to provide the driver with a wide forward field of view. The driving mirrors are presented in the visual display and give accurate images of rearward vision. It operates using the same detailed 3D environments, sophisticated driving scenarios and high frequency, fine grained data recording capability accuracy as TRL’s DigiCar simulator.
Visitors will be able to drive through a Dutch-style roundabout, as recently tested at TRL on behalf of Transport for London as part of their Safer Cycling Innovation project.
Seeing is Believing is the only event in Europe where you can display your products in a real working environment, in all lighting conditions and test their efficiency and effectiveness.
Seeing is Believing will be holding its first exhibitor previews on Monday 31 March and Tuesday 13 May.
This is a great opportunity for companies to prove their products are the most effective. If you would like to exhibit and have your products tested, call Gavin Harrison on 01732 459683 for details or email gavin@aladltd.co.uk
