Hughes to lead Mouchel’s highways team in the Midlands

Robin Hughes has joined Mouchel as divisional director for highways in the Midlands.

Hughes (pictured) will lead the company’s design and consultancy business and comes to Mouchel from Parsons Brinckerhoff where he provided technical, business and safety leadership to the business in the UK.

He spent his early career with Surrey County Council and worked abroad on projects in the Caribbean and in Kazakhstan.

With over 29 years of experience in a variety of civil engineering and infrastructure projects, Hughes has worked in the highways sector for the majority of his career.

Stephen Russell, business unit director, said: “Robin’s technical capabilities, leadership skills and impressive track record delivering major projects such as his work on the M1 junctions 10 to 13 and A5 M1 link road improvements, makes him a valuable asset to our highways team.
