Highways Reporters

David Webster has been appointed as highways director for Scotland and Northern Ireland at Mott MacDonald.

He will be responsible for developing the consultancy’s highways offering within both countries by growing its client base and delivering major projects across these regions.

With over 35 years’ experience in the transportation sector, Webster (pictured) has an impressive track record in the study, procurement and delivery of projects. He joins Mott MacDonald from AECOM, where he led their 60-strong strategic highways Scotland team.

He has also been responsible for a number of major frameworks for transportation providers, including commissions from Transport Scotland plus various local authorities and passenger transport executives.

David Tarrant, Mott MacDonald’s managing director for highways, said: “David’s in-depth knowledge of project management and delivery, commercial awareness and technical ability will make him a great asset to both our highways team and the wider Mott MacDonald Group. His extensive expertise in the management of outside parties, public and stakeholder consultation and the control of multi-disciplinary projects will be of real benefit as we look to grow our highways business in new areas.”
