Cycle and footpath to be built alongside A585
A shared cycle and footpath is being built alongside the A585 in Lancashire at a cost of £1.5 million.
Highways England is starting work on the West Drive to Fleetwood shared footpath and cycleway project tomorrow (4 January) and it should be completed by the end of March.
Project manager Philip Tyrrell said: “We are delivering a £15 billion investment in our roads – the largest in a generation – to provide safer, quicker and better journeys.
“This is a significant investment in facilities for cyclists and pedestrians along this busy section of the A585 and will provide a safer and more pleasant environment for both sets of customers.”
