The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead has recently awarded its Highway and Transport Professional Services contract to Project Centre, an NSL company.

The contract is worth £500,000 per year and will run for five years beginning on 1st April 2017, with a possible extension of two further years.

The contract includes project lifecycle support, passenger transport enquiries, traffic & road safety enquiries, flood risk management enquiries, transport policy support and highways development control as well as sustainable urban drainage (SUDS).

During the contract, Project Centre will invest in the local economy by working with supply chain partners from within the Royal Borough.  NSL says this will provide employment opportunities across a variety of roles for members of the local community.

Keith Hanshaw, managing director of Project Centre said, “We have built our reputation on delivering award winning highways and transportation consultancy services to local authorities and we look forward to continuing this with the Royal Borough. Our success has been built on working in partnership with our clients and delivery partners to understand all stakeholder requirements, helping us to deliver high quality, innovative and sustainable infrastructure for the communities we serve. We are delighted to have been awarded this new commission and look forward to a successful partnership for the next five years and beyond.”

Cllr Phil Bicknell, Cabinet Member for Highways and Transport and Deputy Leader at the Royal Borough, commented, “We are committed to providing our residents with quality services and good value for their council tax and this deal with Project Centre will do just that.”
