FM Conway wins Merton highways extension

FM Conway has secured a five-year extension to its long-term highways partnership with Merton Council.

The new contract will start on September 1 and run until 2017, with an option for a two year extension.

FM Conway will continue to provide the council with a range of services including highway maintenance and surfacing, lining, civil engineering, traffic management and cleansing services.

Gus Smith, Contracts Manager at FM Conway, said: “Merton means everything to FM Conway. It’s our flagship.

"At any one time, we’ve got 60 people working in the Borough. We’ve grown up together and we’ve developed together and we look forward to a successful future where we can explore exciting innovations together.”

FM Conway and Merton Council have worked in partnership for more than 30 years.

"In partnership with FM Conway, we will continue to supply high quality services to the residents, businesses and visitors to Merton while continuing to adopt an innovative approach to providing high quality amenities using the most recent technologies, materials and working methods.
