Jacobs Engineering Group has received a contract from Transport for London (TfL) to provide maintenance and improvement services on roads across seven boroughs in North East London, UK.

The work is being carried out as part of a joint venture with the Eurovia Group.

Jacobs Group vice president Bob Duff said: “We are very pleased to receive this contract for maintenance activities on some of the most heavily trafficked road networks in the UK. The award continues our long association with TfL, and we look forward to supporting them on this significant project by providing integrated, value-added planning and design services.”

Officials did not disclose the contract value, but noted that the contract duration is for an eight year period beginning 1 April, 2013.

Under the terms of the contract, the joint venture team is delivering highway construction, maintenance and design services. Jacobs’ primary role is as the lead professional planner and designer.
