The future, connectivity and exhibitor profiles on Detroit podcast today

07/06/2018
Paul Hutton

The final 3M-sponsored Talking Transport podcast from ITS America’s Annual Meeting 2018 in Detroit is now online with plenty of thought leadership, a connected vehicle demonstration, innovation from two continents and no fewer than seven exhibitors.

Andrew Dubner from 3M Connected Roads tells us about the growth in connectivity between what is on the roadway and in the car as the human driver no longer has to be in the middle of that relationship.

Staying with connected cars, our presenter, SMART Highways editor Paul Hutton, takes a ride in a Cadillac to test out GM’s new connected features for traffic signals and road construction warnings and we talk to Bernd Luebben from Cohda Wireless about two new projects, one in New York and the other in Sydney, Australia.

We also take a tour of the exhibit hall finding out what’s new and exciting from a range of companies; Intelight, ZincFive, Gridsmart, EDI, Image Sensing Systems, International Road Dynamics and Daktronics. We also look ahead to the next ITS World Congress which this year takes place in the beautiful European city of Copenhagen in Denmark – find out more at itsworldcongress.com.
