A free to attend e-conference focused on how the highways sector can 'build back better' after COVID-19 is to be held in September.
The online event will include presentations from leading sector experts, organisations and professional bodies, round table discussions, case studies and product and service demonstrations.
Developed by sector specialists Meon, the conference builds on the company's virtual expo in July and aims to provide the sector with the tools to deliver targeted outcomes in economic growth, sustainability and resilience.
Meon MD Gary Spencer said: 'The opportunity afforded the sector by the Government’s renewed commitment to investing in highways maintenance and infrastructure presents all parts of the industry with a unique chance to deliver positive and sustainable change in a completely different way thanks to the lessons of COVID-19
'We have an opportunity to deliver on the provision of a highways network that promotes sustainable solutions, economic opportunity, greater accessibility to that opportunity and more environmentally sustainable infrastructure. We all have a part to play and we all need to ensure we have the skills and knowledge to deliver.
'The Build Back Better event is not a commercial event, but is an opportunity across the sector to gain knowledge and understanding.'
The speakers being lined up for the event will be announced over the coming weeks, as will details of how people can register for their place and also actively participate on the day.
