The Civil Engineering Contractors Association (CECA) has created a specialist sector group for member companies with an interest in highways maintenance.
The new group will bring together contractors from its member companies 'to share best practice, formulate policy, and provide an industry voice to Government and other stakeholders'.
Group chair Simon White, highways director with Dyer and Butler, a part of M Group Services, said: 'I am delighted to chair this new group, which will prioritise: workload visibility; health and safety; driving innovation; achieving net zero; and improving productivity.
'CECA’s Highways Maintenance Group will bring the right people together to work together to deliver efficiency and drive best practice in highways maintenance across England and Wales.
'I am excited to have been elected chair of this new group, and I look forward to curating a wideranging programme of events and projects to help our members understand upcoming pipelines and client expectations.
'If you would like to be involved in CECA’s new group, either as a member company or speaker, please do get in touch.'
CECA represents more than 300 contractors of all sizes, many of which are active in highways.
