HMEP show goes on the road

21/01/2014
Highways Reporters

The Highways Maintenance Efficiency Programme (HMEP) is working with the Department for Transport (DfT) to deliver a roadshow of seven events across England.

Starting this Friday (24 January), the events will give delegates the opportunity to 'have their say' and to discuss future funding options linked to efficiencies for highways maintenance.

With the real possibility that future highways funding will be linked to greater efficiencies to support the transformation, planning and delivery of roads from 2015/16, these events are a 'must attend' opportunity for senior leaders, highways practitioners and service providers .

The Department will shortly be publishing a document which aims to stimulate discussion during the roadshows including future funding options. Attendees will also hear more about the Highways Maintenance Efficiency Programme and its 2020 vision for improving highways efficiencies and a range of good practice examples from your area – all to be discussed with delegates during the events.
