National Highways has extended its cyber security and information rights contract with LA International Computer Consultants, adding 12 months and £2.6m to the original agreement.

This is the third and final extension of this contract, with the original agreement running from 12 February 2024 until 12 September 2024 with an estimated value of £6.9m.

Following that, two other extensions were made: the first ran from September 2024 to March 2025, with a rough value of £6.9m, and the second ran from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026, with an estimated value of up to £3.45m.

With the extended contract now slated to end on 31 March 2027, the company has had an additional £2.6m added to the contract, bringing the total value of this contract up to £19.86m.

After the end of this most recent extension, National Highways plans to procure replacement contracts ‘that will span the remaining RIS 3 period'.
