Bury Council has announced plans to launch procurement this summer on a framework worth up to £72m, covering highways construction, maintenance and civil engineering works.
The Greater Manchester metropolitan borough published a planned procurement notice, announcing that a tender is due to be released on 1 June with a deadline for submissions of 1 July 2026 and a decision expected on 1 October.
The framework is expected to run from 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2030 and will be divided across seven lots:
- Lot 1. Planned Maintenance (Paving and specialist projects): value £16.1m
- Lot 2. Carriageway Surfacing: value £30.2m
- Lot 3. Lining (including coloured surface overlay): value £2m
- Lot 4. Civils (Drainage works and specialist projects): value £16.1m
- Lot 5. CCTV - Jetting/Inspections: value £1m
- Lot 6. Highway Structures: value £6m
- Lot 7. Coring: value £503k
