CPC Civils has been awarded a new £17m active travel contract by Birmingham City Council.
The contract will see CPC improve pedestrian and cycling connectivity ‘through the core of the city', including active travel surfacing and infrastructure along New Street and upgrades to the surrounding area.
The city council also said it expects the supplier to improve active travel safety, particularly between New Street train station and surrounding business and retail areas.
The contract is expected to run from 18 August 2025 until 31 March 2029.
