Infrastructure services contractor FM Conway caused a brief panic among music fans as resurfacing works temporarily did away with the famous Abbey Road zebra crossing.
Visitors from around the world were temporarily alarmed as they watched the musical landmark disappear before their eyes.
FM Conway re-surfaced the road and repainted the crossing as part of its £450m term maintenance contract with Westminster City Council, making sure that fans can continue to enjoy the musical landmark for years to come.
With the works completed, Conway's very own fab four came together last week to recreate the iconic Beatles album cover, strolling across the restored - but still closed - crossing, looking quite something in full high-vis and hard hats.
(And in) The End.
