Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council has appointed Alun Griffiths to a £1.9m contract to carry out drainage and carriageway works on the A4046 Cwm to Aberbeeg.
The contract is only set to last for just over five months from 14 September to 26 February 2027, with the work focussed on the renewal of highway drainage along a 3km section of the A4046.
Included in the Welsh council's contract will be work on gullies, connections, carrier drain and associated manholes, as well as the renewal of kerb lines on both lanes, resurfacing with associated lining, signing and road studs, and new VRS on the northbound lane.
