Kiely Group has officially launched in the Irish market with the successful completion of its inaugural contract in Tuam Municipal District, County Galway, bringing three generations of the family business full circle.
The company was founded by the late Michael Kiely, who came from Athea in Limerick and left Ireland over seventy years ago looking for work. Now his grandson (also Michael) has proudly led the business back to the Emerald Isle, bringing with him pioneering solutions.
The company's first Irish project saw it deliver high-quality surface dressing alongside the debut of its KielyLock technology - a road surface treatment used in conjunction with the traditional surface dressing process that ‘locks' the chipping into the road surface to help prevent water ingress.
John Coyle, senior executive engineer for Tuam Municipal District and Galway County Council, said: ‘Galway County Council is pleased to acknowledge the successful completion of our recent surface dressing contract delivered by Kiely. As their first major programme of works in Ireland, the team demonstrated outstanding professionalism, technical skill and efficiency from start to finish.
‘The introduction of the specialised Kiely Lock process was a particular highlight. This innovative sealing technique has delivered an exceptionally high-quality, durable finish. It will significantly extend the life of our network and provide a safer road surface for local drivers.'
