Amey has announced a ‘major engineering recruitment drive' to support highways and other sectors.
The company plans to recruit roughly 600 professionals over the next 18 months as part of a ‘targeted investment' in the skills and capabilities needed for future growth across priority infrastructure markets including highways, energy and nuclear.
This recruitment drive is expected to strengthen Amey's engineering capability and ‘support its expanding portfolio of work'.
Initially, the campaign will target around 200 new hires over the rest of this year and will feature nationwide opportunities across a ‘broad range of consulting roles' in areas such as technical, engineering, project delivery and specialist disciplines.
It also aims to hire a further 100 engineering graduates and apprentices next month to join its early careers programme to provide ‘practical experience on live projects' supported by ‘structured development, professional mentoring' and opportunities to ‘build their skills, certifications and experience' for their future careers.
