Amey has appointed Jonathan Goring as executive advisor, a role focused on strengthening the company's consulting business.
Mr Goring brings over 30 years of experience in senior roles, having started his career in 1995 as an operations director for Mace.
Other positions he has held include director and then managing director of Capita Symonds (now part of WSP), director of Laing O'Rourke, and managing director of Lovell Partnerships.
More recently, he served as programme director/managing director of the Mott MacDonald SYSTRA HS2 joint venture for nearly three years, followed by just over two years at NEOM as executive director and head of operations.
As part of his role as executive advisor, Mr Goring is expected to focus on ‘strengthening the front end of the consulting pipeline'. This will include ‘supporting activity across key contracts and frameworks', as well as enabling entry into new sectors and markets and ‘helping to unlock opportunities' for international growth.
