Sustainable construction technology company Ecofill has formed a new advisory board with three senior industry leaders appointed to support its continued UK growth.

The board will consist of Vip Gandhi (director of Vip Infrastructure Solution), Mark Ollerton (Ollerton Commercial Consulting) and Nirmal Kotecha (director of capital programme and procurement at UK Power Network), who bring over 100 years of combined experience.

Ecofill's new board has been created to provide ‘independent strategic guidance' to the aggregate replacement supplier as it seeks to strengthen its relationships across the infrastructure sector, both at home and internationally.

Mr Gandhi's 40 years of experience leading major transport and infrastructure programmes across Asia, Europe and the UK have seen him hold senior executive positions with Jacobs Europe, Sir Robert McAlpine and Keltbray. He has expertise in strategic growth, business leadership and major project delivery, including involvement in the A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon improvement scheme and HS2 ALIGN joint venture.

Mr Ollerton was previously commercial director at National Highways, as well as an interim commercial director at East West Rail. His expertise includes major infrastructure procurement, commercial frameworks and strategic programme delivery.

He has worked on the £9bn Regional Delivery Framework, £4.5bn Smart Motorway Alliance and £7bn East West Rail programme.

Mr Kotecha is a former main board director at the Highways Agency and executive director at UK Power Networks. He has played a significant role in the development of the @one Alliance model at Anglian Water, the ED1SON Alliance at UK Power Networks and the Project 13 model through his work with the Infrastructure Client Group.

Dr Nigel Griffiths, chairman of Ecofill Group, said: ‘The appointment of Vip, Mark and Nirmal represents an important step in the continued development of Ecofill. Each brings a wealth of experience at the highest levels of infrastructure delivery, commercial strategy and industry leadership.

‘Together, they offer a powerful combination of expertise, networks and independent perspective that will help us navigate new opportunities and strengthen our engagement with major industry stakeholders.'

Trevor Gaughan, founder and CEO of Ecofill Group, added: ‘Ecofill's technology is changing how the construction industry approaches soil reuse. By transforming materials that would traditionally be removed from site, we're delivering a practical solution that reduces costs, carbon emissions and the need for imported materials.'
