M Group has appointed Andrew English as managing director of its energy infrastructure division.

Mr English has extensive leadership expertise in both the UK and Australia, having previously held senior roles at Skanska and John Holland, with a track record that includes the delivery of large-scale projects as well as driving growth and transformation.

He will lead M Group's energy infrastructure capabilities, with a focus on delivering whole-life, integrated solutions, the company said.

M Group added that it will continue 'to support the UK's transition to net zero by modernising critical energy assets and integrating technologies such as battery storage, EV infrastructure and solar power'.

Alain Loosveld, chief operating officer at M Group, said: 'The energy market is hugely exciting, and we continue to expand and make significant investment in this sector. As Andrew's appointment demonstrates, our focus on two distinct areas, Energy Infrastructure and In-Home, emphasises the strategic importance we place on these rapidly evolving markets. We are delighted to welcome Andrew to the team.'

Mr English said: 'I'm delighted to join M Group as the business grows and transforms in a changing market, particularly at such an important time for the energy sector.

'I look forward to working with our teams and clients to deliver the resilient, efficient, and sustainable infrastructure with the innovation that's needed to tackle the sector's most complex challenges.'
