Multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy Harley Haddow has appointed David Campbell as national director of civil engineering.

Mr Campbell has over 30 years of experience in the sector, which includes two 11-year stints at two international multi-disciplinary firms, and has worked at director level since 2013.

Based at Harley Haddow's Glasgow office, Mr Campbell will lead the civil engineering division nationally. He said: 'Harley Haddow is a well-respected firm and I'm pleased to have joined the business as it enters its next chapter and 76th year.'

His appointment comes alongside a period of substantial growth for the Glasgow team, which has almost tripled in the last year.

Mr Campbell joins other recent appointees: associate director, Daniel Murray and senior structural engineers, Elinor Reeves, Eric Graham and Ruaridh Gray.

Together the appointments reflect the continued investment in Harley Haddow's Glasgow operation and a broader commitment to strengthening engineering capabilities across the business.

Colin Tait, director at Harley Haddow, added: 'David's appointment is an important one for the business nationally, but it is also a strong signal of our continued commitment to Glasgow. The team has grown significantly over the past two years and we are continuing to invest in people and leadership to support clients, projects and long-term growth.'

With seven offices across the UK, Harley Haddow provides engineering, project and sustainability expertise across a wide range of sectors, with Glasgow continuing to play an important role in the firm's wider growth plans.
