The London Borough of Redbridge has appointed Vincent Valerio as interim head of highways and transport.
Mr Valerio brings over two decades of experience in highways, transport, parking, and infrastructure services. Prior to his new position, he also served as the interim head of highways, transportation and planning for the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. Other roles include regional director for Waterman Aspen, project manager for London Borough of Waltham Forest and transport project manager for Stadium Management.
As interim head of highways and transport at Redbridge, he is expected to ‘build on the strong foundations already in place across the service' and help deliver safe, reliable, and effective highways and transport services for residents ‘while driving forward key initiatives and programmes'.
Speaking about his appointment, Mr Valerio said: ‘I'm excited to work with colleagues, partners, and communities across the borough. Highways and transport services have a direct impact on residents' everyday lives, from how safely and easily people travel to the quality of the places where they live and work. I look forward to building on the excellent work already underway and helping deliver services that make a positive difference for everyone across Redbridge.'
In a post announcing his appointment, Redbridge Council added: ‘We're excited to have Vincent on board and look forward to his expertise, leadership, and fresh perspective.'
