David Short has been appointed Kier Infrastructure's new business development director.
Having started at the Tier One contractor in 2011, as a regional communications manager for Kier Services, Mr Short has progressed within the company, holding positions such as senior business director for Kier Transportation and business development director for Kier Infrastructure.
Commenting on his new appointment, Mr Short said: ‘Really excited to see how bringing together our transportation and natural resources capabilities can bring significant benefits to our clients and the communities we serve.

Kier Infrastructure's business development team is led by Helen Taylor, who is the business development and communications director.
The team that directly reports to is her is made up of:
- Mike Hodkinson, Business Development Director – looking after Transportation
- David Short, Business Development Director – looking after Highways Maintenance & Regional Frameworks
- Dave Brown, Business Development Director – looking after our Kier 360 opportunities
- Paul Dixon, Business Development Director – looking after Kier Design
