Laing O'Rourke has appointed Clare Rodgers as its first female business unit leader of any of its specialist trading businesses.
She will lead the 'Expanded Geotechnical' unit of the infrastructure company.
Ms Rodgers most recently served as business stream leader for lifting solutions at Select Plant Hire, part of Laing O'Rourke.
She first joined the business in 2021 as a business stream leader, before moving into lifting solutions in 2024. Prior to this, she was sales director for Bennetts Tower Cranes for seven and a half years.
She has also won multiple Women in Construction & Engineering (WICE) awards, including most distinguished winner.
In her new role, she will take responsibility for the expanded geotechnical business, taking over the position after Ronan O'Rourke was appointed director of clients and markets for Laing O'Rourke's Europe Hub.
She is the first female business unit leader of any of Laing O'Rourke's Specialist Trading Businesses.
