BAM UK & Ireland has recruited Robertson Construction's former executive technical services director, Mike King, as the head of its Scotland-based construction business.
Mr King will be taking the reins on 17 September from Jim Ward, who recently retired from the position.
He brings just shy of 30 years' experience in engineering, project management and construction leadership.
In addition to the four years he spent as executive technical services director for Roberson, he spent an additional seven years with the company as a project director and then as a group preconstruction director.
Prior to this, he served as head of operations at Scottish Canals and also worked as project director for both the Helix & Kelpies Project and Taylor Woodrow Construction and as a section engineer for Balfour Beatty Construction.
He is now expected to lead BAM's Scottish construction operation, which has recently completed jobs such as the £72m net zero carbon Parkhead Health and Social Care Centre in Glasgow and the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Radionuclide Dispensary.
