The man tasked with growing radar manufacturer AGD's business around the world says a focus on listening to what customers want is the key to its success.International Development Manager Oliver Bain was in conversation with Smart Highways editor Paul Hutton at the ITS European Congress in Glasgow."We do have some very clever bods in the business but ultimately the it's the customer who drives the development strategy of AGD. It's all about that conversation. Sometimes we end up taking a half-built product to a customer and they give their feedback, and sometimes it's that number of conversations we have with people because of a market shift in that direction."And he said that's leading to growing opportunities, "the world is a big opportunity for us. We're realising we don't have to just build products for the UK market, but there are customers all over the world who are really keen to use our technology."You can hear Oliver's interview with Paul below, including details of an improvement to one of the company's existing products.[audio mp3="http://smarthighways.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/oliver-bain-agd.mp3"][/audio](Picture - Oliver Bain in conversation at the AGD stand)
