The French transport operator RATP, along with the Paris City Council, has launched a public demonstration of two Easymile EZ10 driverless shuttles on the Charles de Gaulle bridge in Paris city centre.The shuttles operate on a dedicated lane on the Charles de Gaulle bridge every afternoon, and the demonstration will continue until 7 April.

Two of the EZ10 minibuses, which can carry up to six seated passengers and six standing, were put into service today.

'The autonomous vehicle presents an opportunity for new services notably in less densely populated areas,' RATP president Elisabeth Borne said in a statement.Smart Highways editor Paul Hutton rode in an Easymile vehicle at the ITS World Congress in Melbourne last October.  You can hear his experiences in the podcast from there, about 17 minutes in.
