The American state of Pennsylvania will trial the use of speed cameras in highway construction work zones in an attempt to improve safety.
Local TV Station WBMG reports the Democratic Governor Tom Wolf has signed the law that calls for cameras to record driver’s licenses of anyone going more than 11 miles per hour above the limit while workers are present.
It says violators will get a written warning the first time, followed by fines of $75 and $150 for subsequent offences and that there will be signs indicating where cameras are in use.
