Uber is giving its customers across the UK the chance to donate clothes and other items to Cancer Research UK through their app in a charity initiative called uberGIVING.
On Saturday 2 June the company is offering people an easy way to donate clothes, accessories and other items to one of Cancer Research UK’s shops across the UK using the Uber app in cities including London, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Users simply have to open their app, tap an in-app card, request a pick up and then give the donations to a driver.
Uber says its a way for it to use its technology to “give something back”.
