The US Department of Transportation has made what it says is a record $65 billion available for infrastructure projects this year.
The monies were disbursed through a variety of grant programs such as Infrastructure for Rebuilding America, and Better Utilising Investments to Leverage Development.
In a statement, the DoT says: “The Department is committed to revitalising America’s infrastructure using federal dollars as seed money to encourage additional infrastructure investment by states, localities and private sector partners.”
