Waymo has begun testing Jaguar I-Pace vehicles on public streets around its headquarters in Mountain View, California.
Waymo received its first three -Pace vehicles in July 2018.
According to TechCrunch a self-driving Jaguar I-Pace was spotted with a safety driver behind the wheel. Waymo later confirmed that testing has begun.
Waymo has said it plans to roll out the I-Pace vehicles into its self-driving ride-hailing fleet in 2020, reports TechCrunch.
TechCrunch said that the deal between Waymo and Jaguar Land Rover is for up to 20,000 modified I-Pace vehicles to join the robotaxi service in the first two years of operation.
