Contracts round-up

BAM Nuttall, Costain, Interserve and Tarmac are chasing a £2.8 million deal with the Highways Agency for improvements to junction 10 of the M42. A decision is imminent with Amey expected to oversee work for the Agency.

 

Osborne, Carillion and VolkerFitzpatrick are among the contractors to have priced a £15 million job for Luton Borough Council for work at junction 10a of the M1. Tenders were returned on August 28 and the successful contractor is expected to start on site next month (October). URS will supervise the work, which includes removing a roundabout and widening the spur road to three lanes.

 

The A-One+ grouping featuring Colas, Costain and CH2M Hill Halcrow has a £1.3 million deal with the Highways Agency for improvements to junction 10 of the M40. Work starts in the New Year and includes replacing the south-bound entry slip road from Padbury roundabout with a new slip road from the Cherwell roundabout and widening the A43 south-bound.

 

BAM Nuttall, Dawnus, Dyer & Butler and Raymond Brown are bidding for a £1 million contract to upgrade a bridge on Penarth Road in Cardiff for the city council. Work, which will be supervised by Parsons Brinckerhoff, is due to start in October and run for five months.
