Jobs boost for EM

EM Highway Services has created more than 200 design jobs as it gets ready to deliver the Highways Agency’s Gearing Up for Growth Programme.

EM is carrying out design work on each of its HA MAC and ASC contracts to meet the needs of the programme that was a direct result of the government’s white paper ‘Action for Roads – A network for the 21st century’.

Along with this, the company is focusing on Transport for London’s extensive programme of schemes as part of its London Highways Alliance Contract.

The total value of schemes forming the Gearing Up for Growth Programme is £650 million.

In order to meet this increased demand and deliver its commitments, EM is committed to recruiting and developing talented individuals.

To deliver the ambitious programme of design work, the firm requires highways and structures design engineers as well as project managers at a variety of levels based in Manchester, Bristol, London and Stevenage.
