Angus Murray has taken over as CEO of Connect Plus, which operates and manages the M25 under the largest highways public finance initiative (PFI) project ever awarded in the UK.
Mr Murray (pictured) officially assumed his new role and joined the company’s Board on 1 July, replacing Andy Dean, who has return to Balfour Beatty Investments.
Connect Plus is a consortium that includes Edge Orbital Holdings Ltd, Balfour Beatty and Egis Investment Partners and has a 30-year contract with National Highways to operate and manage the M25 and its key arterial link roads, including the Dartford-Thurrock River Crossing
Mr Murray, who began his career as an engineer with Tarmac, has joined Connect Plus following a 25-year career with Fluor Corporation, where his most recent role was vice president operations advanced technologies and life sciences.
He holds a BSc (Hons) in Engineering Science from Durham University and an MBA from the Cranfield School of Management.
