National Highways is seeking a partner 'to deliver transformation and change services in our business' for up to five years in a deal valued at £75m.
The government-owned company has issued a second prior information notice (PIN) following a market engagement event in August on the initial strategy and procurement route.
The PIN invites potential suppliers to register an interest but points out they may choose to respond directly after the contract notice or opportunity notice is published.
It states: ‘We intend to use the Restricted Procedure and Selection Questionnaires are expected to be issued in mid-December, subject to the completion of project governance.’
The services are to be supplied from late 2024 and the contract notice is expected to be published on 14 December 2023.
At the time of the first PIN in June, National Highways had given a ‘tentative’ date of 2 October this year for the publication of the contract notice but stated that this was ‘provided solely to complete a mandatory field’ and that the procurement timetable would not be finalised until feedback from the supplier engagement is reviewed.
