A fire on Monday morning at road markings company Geveko Markings UK caused extensive damage to a warehouse however no one was injured, and production will continue again on Tuesday.
Geveko even said most of the company's products are still fully available, with little to no impact to the roads element of the business.
The local fire service arrived at 04.40 to the burning warehouse, and managed to first contain and subsequently put out the fire without damage to any other buildings, office or production equipment on-site.
Geveko thanked the fire and rescue officers for their 'extreme bravery in saving the majority of the site'.
Due to the limited damages, production is therefore expected to continue again as soon as tomorrow.
The fire caused extensive damage to the warehouse building and affected the company' stock of finished goods, but according to the head of sales at Geveko Markings UK, Martin Emery, customers will not have to worry as most products will still be available.
'Inevitably, it will take us a few days to rebuild stock of resin, and we are executing our contingency plan with regard to aggregates and liquid paints. However, our resin and thermoplastic production plants have not been damaged, and we still have good stocks of thermoplastic,' he said.
He added 'We kindly ask our customers to bear with us while we manage the situation – we are doing our level best to ensure that they are not significantly impacted.'
