Roads Minister Robert Goodwill will officially open this year’s Seeing is Believing.
Mr Goodwill (pictured), who is a Member of Parliament for Scarborough and Whitby, said: “I am delighted to be attending Seeing is Believing 2014. It offers a great opportunity for local authorities to find out about the latest developments and products which can help improve the safety of the highway network.
“With the government making an investment of £10 billion into the highways industry in 2015, we see shows like this as playing an important part in educating the sector.”
The government has committed £10 billion of investment in road repairs between 2015-16 and 2020-21. Mr Goodwill was appointed Parliamentary Under Secretary at the Department for Transport in October 2013.
Seeing is Believing offers exhibitors a unique opportunity to demonstrate products and services outside on a real road environment, with day, dusk and night time conditions – in a scenario best suited to your product or service.
The show is taking place at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground, Lutterworth, in Leicestershire from 19 to 20 November 2014.
