The Traffic Group unveils new leadership team

The Traffic Group, which consists of leading brands AGD Systems, Traffic Group Signals and MAV Systems, has announced key changes to its leadership team.

Heading up the top team is the new group managing director Jonathan Brook, who first joined the business in April 2024 as group commercial director,

In his latest role he will lead Group-wide business operations and oversee a 'renewed focus on scaling operations, accelerating innovation and strengthening the Group's market position in response to emerging customer demands,' the company said.

There is also a key emphasis on cross-functional collaboration between AGD Systems, Traffic Group Signals and MAV Systems, to ensure 'strategic alignment to accelerate innovation and drive sustainable growth'.

The Traffic Group said in a statement that since joining the company, Mr Brook has shown himself to be a 'decisive and empathetic leader, guiding the team through unexpected challenges with confidence, clarity and a firm strategic direction'.

The toughest of all these challenges will certainly have been the passing of their much-missed former managing director, Peter (Pete) Hutchinson, last year. Mr Hutchinson was 'the motivating force' behind the success of many of the Group's products and its wider market position.

Mr Brook said: 'It’s a real privilege to step into this role at such a transformative time for the business and I’m committed to building on the momentum we’ve already established. By working closely with the team and our customers, I want to sharpen our focus and strengthen how we operate, while unlocking new opportunities for growth.

'The leadership team is driven on staying aligned and delivering meaningful impact for our workforce, customers, supply chain partners and the long-term success of the business.'

Further strengthening the senior team are: Andy Humphries, who joined MAV Systems last year as managing director; Maxine Hutchinson who was recently made managing director for Traffic Group Signals; and Dawn Woodward, who has recently been appointed as managing director of AGD Systems after serving 10 years as its finance director.

Ms Hutchinson said: 'We are delighted that Jonathan has agreed to step into the role of group managing director.  Over the past year, we’ve worked closely with him and seen first-hand the leadership and insight he brings to the business.

'His understanding of our operations and commitment to excellence make him the ideal person to lead us into the next phase of our growth. We look forward to continuing our work together as we strengthen our operations and remain focused on delivering exceptional service that meets the evolving needs of our customers.'
