Devon County Council is looking to procure a supplier for the construction of the new Cullompton Town Centre Relief Road.

Designed to link Station Road and Exeter Road via Meadow Lane in Cullompton, the total value of the contract for the 1.3km-long relief road is estimated at £18m and is expected to be tendered by the council on 1 December 2025.

Works expected to be completed by the successful supplier include:

  • Partial realignment of a 60m section of the existing carriageway
  • Construction of a new roundabout junction connecting the relief road to Station Road and Millennium Way
  • Construction of five new junctions
  • Highways drainage provisions, including two surface water attenuation ponds

The contract is expected to run for just over one and a half years from 22 May 2026 to 1 January 2028. Those wishing to enquire about the contract must do so by 9 February 2026, with tenders due on 23 February. Devon CC then expects to announce the award of the contract by 10 April 2026.
