Wakefield Council has started preliminary market engagement for a £240m highways and footpaths surface dressing open framework on behalf of the Yorkshire Highway Alliance.

The framework covers the supply of labour, plant, materials and traffic management to carry out surface dressing on footways and carriageways for member authorities of the Yorkshire Highway Alliance.

Any other local authority within the Yorkshire and Humber Region and ‘wholly owned and controlled subsidiary trading companies' can also be involved.

Currently, the framework is expected to last for eight years from 21 December 2026 to 20 December 2034.
