Leeds City Council, on behalf of the Yorkshire Highway Alliance, has tendered an £8.6m framework covering the provision of road markings across the region.
Starting on 14 December, the contract is expected to have an initial run of two years until 13 December 2028, but it also allows for a possible two-year extension until 13 December 2030.
Included in the alliance are the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council, Calderdale Council, Kirklees Council, Leeds City Council, North Yorkshire Council, City of Wakefield Metropolitan District Council and the City of York Council.
However, the framework is not just limited to these authorities; the notice states that any other local authorities as defined in the Local Government Act 1972 as being within the Yorkshire and Humber Region are also able to make use of it.
Those wishing to participate in the framework have until 12 November to enquire, with tenders then due on 19 November.
The alliance plans to announce the successful suppliers on 24 November.
