Blackpool Borough Council has tendered a £4.32m consultancy support framework.

Set to be a multi-disciplinary framework, the agreement is expected to last for four years and cover various disciplines to support the following council services: Blackpool Council's highways department, the enterprise zone (including Silicon Sands), and the growth and prosperity department.

The contract is currently expected to start on 12 September 2026 and run until 11 September 2027, with a possible extension to 11 September 2030.

Suppliers will be appointed to one of three lots, each valued at £1.44m:

  • Lot 1: Highways design
  • Lot 2: Strategic support for highways and structures
  • Lot 3: Highways traffic signal support

Blackpool BC plans to appoint three ranked contractors per lot, resulting in a total of nine suppliers across the whole framework.

Those wishing to submit a tender should do so by 20 July, after which the council plans to announce the successful submissions by 10 September 2026.
