Halton Borough Council has extended the deadline for its highway surface treatments contract.
Tenders for the £5.3m contract, which is focused on sprays, surface dressing, slurry and micro asphalt, were originally due for submission this Thursday, but due to changes to the procurement specific questionnaire and bill of quantities, the council chose to extend the deadline to 4 November.
Once awarded, the contract is expected to run for three years from 1 April 2027 to 31 March 2030 and also includes the possibility of a one-year extension to 31 March 2031.
Halton has also noted that it expects this to be a recurring procurement, with the next tender notice currently planned to be published on 15 September 2029.
The successful supplier is expected to be announced by 15 February 2027.
