Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council has tendered a £2.3m term maintenance contract for signs, nameplates and guardrails.
The contract is expected to run for an initial five years from 2 November 2026 to 1 November 2031, with a possible extension to 1 November 2034.
It covers the supply, installation, maintenance, replacement, and removal of street nameplates, traffic signs, pedestrian guardrail and vehicle restraint systems.
There is also the opportunity for some collaboration, with the council stating that it is ‘open to considering innovative methods of delivery', including partnerships between suppliers.
